“No one goes hungry in Los Angeles,” is the vision of Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. At LA Private Car Service, we love this mission and are joining forces with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to donate portion of all proceeds from the month of November and December to this great organization.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank collects food from hundreds of resources and distributes them to more than 300,000 people on a monthly bases. According to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, 1.4 million people in Los Angeles live without knowing where their next meal is going to come from. It’s October, and at L.A. Private Car Service we are on a mission. We want to take the time and focus on women’s health, specifically breast cancer, and Breast Cancer Awareness. The month of October is the time to do just that.
We will be donating a portion of our October 2018 proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Our chauffeurs at LA Private Car Service will show their support by wearing the pink ribbon pins all month while our social media pages also make posts about the importance of fighting this disease.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also known as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), refers to the annual international health campaign organized by major charities and organizations focusing on raising awareness and fighting breast cancer. The month of October has been selected to bring extra awareness to this disease and generate donations and financial backing to fight for treatments and ultimately a cure.
The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
While navigating our vibrant city of Los Angeles, in one of our beautiful, clean luxury sedans, SUVs or even the Mercedes Benz Sprinter our passengers will not only be impressed with the punctual, courteous service of our chauffeurs and their safe driving skills, but hopefully notice the pink ribbon pins as well. It is one way we like to show our support for this month’s theme and draw attention to an important cause. In the fight against breast cancer, all of us win by doing our share, in any way or scale we can.
During the month of October, a variety of events, including walks and runs, are organized here in the U.S. and globally. Some buildings and famous landmarks can be seen illuminated in pink color. The National Football League (NFL) draws attention to breast cancer by incorporating pink on and off the field, and comic strips artists use pink on one day in some October art and drawings.
In the always on-the-go, active city of Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood and the movies, we all can play a real role in being a part of a solution and become a champion when it comes to Breast Cancer Awareness. For us Angelenos, it is a great time to focus our attention and get involved in various related activities to honor this cause by running, walking, by cheering our friends and other participants, or by attending a lecture to keep informed. For more information on related events in Los Angeles, please visit your local calendar listings such as Eventbrite and similar sites.
On your way to these amazing, unifying events, you may want to book a car with LA Private Car Service and leave the hassle of the big-city traffic and arriving to your run and walks, charity fundraising, speeches, and important outings to our expert staff. Our chauffeurs will be there to drive you home safely.

Thomas Anders is not just an entertainer, he is an icon. The German vocalist is best known as the lead singer of German duo Modern Talking. Along with his musical partner Dieter Bohlen, the group took Europe and then the world by storm. This internationally recognized star was the voice behind 1980s’ mega hits like “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul,” “You Can Win if You Want,” “Cheri, Cheri Lady,” “Atlantis is Calling (S.O.S. for Love),” and “Brother Louie,” just to name a few. World class DJs have produced revival style mixes of Modern Talking songs, introducing their music to new generations as the front man of the group has always stayed front and center performing the songs, live in various countries. Dubbed “The Gentleman of Music,” Anders will make his return to Los Angeles after a triumphant concert in 2017 that left fans wanting more from the popular singer.
In the 2000s, Anders experienced a renaissance and has shown continued success on the world stage. His successful solo career picked up with the release of This Time (2004) reaching number 14 on German charts and produced a few number 1 hits in Russia and Turkey with Top 20 entries Eastern Europe. His 2010 album Strong reached Platinum status in Russia for sales of more than 650.000 units.

This with the opening day around the corner, Dodgers fans are getting excited about supporting the blue and the prospect of the team making it to the World Series.
The Dodgers are set to play a total of 28 games by the end of April 2018. Fifteen of these games will be at home, and that’s why here at L.A. Private Car Service we have been washing, and waxing our fleet of cars, vacuuming the interiors and getting ready to whisk baseball fans to the games, here in Los Angeles.
In L.A. 10 of the first 28 games will be played against teams that made the playoffs a year ago: that’s seven games against Arizona and three against Washington.
This year the 2018 MLB Season is slated to start and that’s due to a new rule in collective bargaining, because in recent years Baseball has benefited from big revenues, TV ratings, and increases in almost every channel of business in the league. Forbes reported a record revenues bump in the tune of $500 million in 2015, and fast approaching the $10 billion mark and above. The MLB minimum salary will see an increase from $507,500 in 2016 to $545,000 in 2018, and up to $555,000 in 2019. Revenue-sharing will see a few minor adjustments. The number of (market disqualified) Clubs will be go down from 15 to 13, with Oakland phased-out over four years which began in 2017. The disability time is being reduced from 15 days to 10 days.
The deal also added more off days for the team. Therefore, the Dodgers will have five off days off in April: the 5th, 9th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.
In addition, to avoid weather problems (rainouts) the Dodgers have traditionally stuck with the Pacific Time Zone until mid April and this year they will actually follow the practice until mid May, which will arrive during game #41, on May 15, as they face Miami.
Speaking of the games, let’s get back to the schedule. Get the full 2018 schedule.
On Thursday, March 29, the Dodgers will open the season, here at home, with a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants. It is a rare treat since (during a rare regular-season) both teams will have their number one, number two, three and four starters all line up perfectly.
Catcher/First Baseman Buster Posey is expected to deliver in a big way, but San Francisco too counting on rebound seasons from Brandon Belt, Brandon Crawford, Hunter Pence, Joe Panik, Mark Melancon, Johnny Cueto, and Jeff Samardzija, adding suspense and excitement to each game.
This is not the time to sit back. It is time to think about winning. The Dodgers have not won the World Series since 1988. Last year, they won 104 games and scored baseball’s best record but that didn’t get the world Series. This year, the Dodgers will bring back most of their roster and a rotation and up and down the lineup. This move can be helpful in case they face injuries and slumps. The team’s first baseman Cody Bellinger and shortstop Corey Seager should energize the team and its game while outfielder Chris Taylor aims for a solid season, doing his part as a dependable player.
It’s easy to see that it is crucial for you, the fans, to put your full support behind the Dodgers. This means making it to the home games in style and comfort you deserve. After all, you want to spend your time cheering your favorite team and focus on the game and not on the heavy traffic, the stress of making it to the stadium on time, especially during our famous and challenging rush hour. L.A. Private Car Service is the remedy to that headache. With one call, our courteous, helpful staff will help you book a beautiful car, navigated by our skilled and road-savvy drivers. The rest of the journey will be seeing the pride of Los Angeles, the Dodgers score big and (fingers crossed) go all the way to the World Series. L.A. Private Car Service wants help you hit the road for the journey, right here in Los Angeles.
