The Kia Forum

The Forum is a multi-purpose indoor events arena located in Inglewood, California, three miles east of Los Angeles. It is situated between West Manchester Boulevard, across 90th Street and north of the former Hollywood Park Racetrack, and about three miles east of Los Angeles International Airport.

With a capacity of 17,500 (holding 8,000 in half-bowl setting) The Forum (previously known as The Great Western Forum) opened its doors on December 30, 1967. Construction cost $16 million dollars.

Most famous as the home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, from 1967 to 1999, The Forum also played host to legendary music events.

Among its concert highlights (just to name a few) were The Jackson 5 who performed twice at the Forum: on June 20, 1970 during their first national tour and on August 26, 1972 during their third national tour. Both shows were recorded and released as Live at the Forum.

Elvis Presley played afternoon and evening shows, on November 14, 1970, with 18,700 and 18,698 fans in attendance. He returned for two more sold-out shows on May 11, 1974.

Barbra Streisand performed live on April 15, 1972, during a fundraiser for George McGovern’s presidential campaign. Ticket prices ranged from $5.50 to $100. Her performance was recorded live.

The Eagles performed three shows during their Hotel California tour on October 20–22, 1976. The band recently returned to play sold out shows at the venue before the passing of Glenn Frey.

Pop icon Prince began a 21-show run at the Forum, in 2011.

In May and June 2009, Michael Jackson rehearsed utilized the Forum to rehearse for his This Is It concerts which were scheduled to take place in London.

Historic Sport events at the Forum (to name a few): In April 1999, the Kings played their final NHL game here.

The Lakers played their 118–107 playoff on May 23, 1999, their last regular or postseason game played at the Forum.

On October 9, 2009, the Lakers returned to the Forum for a preseason game against the Golden State Warriors to celebrate the team’s 50th season in Los Angeles.

In June 2012, the complex went through a $76 million dollar renovation. The arena reopened in 2014 with six concerts by the Eagles during their History of the Eagles – Live in Concert tour on January 15, 17, 18, 22, 24 and 25. The venue was renamed “The Forum, presented by Chase” to reflect its sponsor, Chase.

Pick up and drop off Service:

More affordable of the two options, your driver will take you to The Forum and return to pick you up at a pre-arranged pick up time.  We know sometimes events at the venue can run longer than anticipated, and we make sure that you have driver contact information to adjust pick up times.  This can also be done through main dispatch number at 888-400-1919.  Please note that hourly wait time fees may apply.

Since most of the streets surrounding The Forum are closed during and after the event, drivers communicate with clients to facilitate the best pick up location.  Typically Limousine (drop-offs and pick-ups) take place at the Hollywood Park parking lot, on the corner of Pincay Drive and Kareem Court.
