No other evening shuts down this much of the city. Hollywood Boulevard and the surrounding blocks close entirely, arrival lanes are credentialed and timed to the minute, and the closures ripple outward for miles well before the first arrival. Navigation apps do not know any of this.

Hourly, for this night especially. Oscar night runs from an afternoon arrival to parties that finish near dawn, and the after-party schedule never holds. Hourly means the car is outside wherever you are, whenever you decide to move.

Weeks, not days. This is the single highest-demand night of the year for chauffeured vehicles in Los Angeles and the fleet books out well ahead. Booking early is the only reliable way to get the vehicle you want.
